For example, if your Access table is linked to Excel spreadsheet, you cannot update any data in the spreadsheet from Access.

Check the form properties to ensure the table you are saving data to is the source.Update Add the employee_tbl table and enter the criteria as below.Field and Table are one you want to update, Update To is the new value you want to put.Make sure that your cursor is in the field that you want to search on and then click the Find button.The Find and Replace dialog box will appear as shown in Figure 3-07 in your book and you will be able to type in the value that you want to locate.Then check each control to ensure it is linked to the field where you want to save it to in the table.
