There is a punk band from New Jersey called The Bouncing Souls that have three songs that are related to Say Anything.

The first one is called "Say Anything" --I think the title is the only common thing.

There was a brief period, in the late Eighties, when underachieving, unlucky-in-love young men everywhere were given hope by two words: Lloyd Dobler.

As played by Cusack, the hero of Cameron Crowe’s first and sweetest film wears a shabby trench coat, has no career prospects beyond "kick-boxing", and no plans for the future except getting the high school golden girl, Diane Court (Ione Skye), to fall in love with him.

When one thinks of ‘Say Anything…,’ John Cusak, holding a boom box above his head and serenading Ione Skye with the Peter Gabriel song ’In Your Eyes’ likely comes to mind.

" She's also in the party scene and is the one to tell Corey that she saw Joe at the party. Pamela Segall Adlon, Rebecca in the film, played in "The Facts of Life" as Kelly Affinado in five episodes of the show.

Later she also had a very small part in one episode of "Star Trek The Next Generation" in 1989 as a character named Oji.

She debuted in the film "River's Edge" and then became a teen sensation as Diane Court in "Say Anything." She later married Adam Horovitz from the Beastie Boys, but the couple divorced, and today she is married to Australian musician Ben Lee. On recently chatted with Skye about her new book, her new acting roles, her life as the wife of a Beastie Boy and, of course, "Say Anything." On Milwaukee.com: Is this the first book you've written?

Ione Skye: It was the first book I've published, but I had written a couple of children's books when I was younger.

It was fun to be able to rediscover all his stuff again, because after you leave school you don't read him much anymore. I figure: Why would you want to do what everyone else is doing? Of all the roles you've played, which one do you think is the most like you? I think that taking night trains or meeting someone on the road is pretty romantic. Favorite city: BUENOS AIRES."I love the cobblestone streets, old restaurants, and tango dancers in San Telmo."New music obsession: GOGOL BORDELLO.
